Turn Everyday Shopping into School Donations with the ABC Program

Our year-round ABC Program provides much-needed donations for the benefit of students in local schools, and you can help simply by using your debit card to make everyday purchases. The annual donation each designated school receives depends on how many customers choose a school, and the number of qualifying transactions they make. Simply stated, the more you use your debit card, the more money your favorite school receives.

Since 2001 the ABC Program has raised over $1.6 million for local schools and students, helping toward the purchase of laptops, supplies, books, software, new curriculum, and much more. We invite you to join us in continuing to make a difference.

Here’s how you can help us empower students to succeed and start earning cash for schools:

1. Use Your Debit Card

School-registered debit earn designated schools 2¢* year-round each time a customer completes a debit card transaction using the signature or credit payment option when making everyday purchases. Register your Sunflower Bank and First National 1870 debit card by completing the form on this page. If you don’t already have a debit card, give us a call or visit a branch near you, and be sure to select your favorite participating school.

2. Rewards for Good Grades

During special periods, branches will invite students K-12 to drop off their current report card at any Sunflower Bank or First National 1870 branch location to be entered into a drawing where they could get paid up to $100** for their A’s. If their school is a participant in the program, they will also receive a matching donation from us!

3. New Accounts Opened

The bank will donate $5 for new Elevation Checking accounts opened with a qualifying school code November 15, 2022 through August 31, 2023!***

Signature-based debit card transactions (credit) using a participating school-registered debit card qualify for school donations. Recurring debit card payments, PIN-based debit card transactions, and ATM transactions are not qualifying debit card purchases and are excluded from payment eligibility. **No purchase necessary to enter report card drawing.
